The library has various STEM kits available for you to check out to enjoy with your kids, stop in and explore what we are offering.
Makers & Creators
Come to your Library and learn how to program robots, make crafts with electrical circuits, and do other fun projects. Drop in to play with builder kits to invent your next creation. Your Library is a great place for you to have fun and learn something new. We also have STEM/STEAM kits available in our Library of Things for our patrons to borrow!
We have many different types of building blocks and manipulatives available at the Library for you and your children to play and learn with. The following list is a small example of what we have available:

- Makey Makey – Makes STEM Education fun! Start out easy with a banana piano. The first setup takes seconds. Make game controllers, musical instruments, and countless inventions. Advance to additional inputs and multi-key remapping up to 18 keys. Ages 8 to infinity.
- Paper Circuits – Make simple or complex electrical circuits on a flat piece of paper! Using copper tape and surface-mount LEDs allows you to make a fully functional circuit on a flat surface, like a piece of paper. You can make light-up greeting cards, make origami animals come to life, or create three-dimensional pop-up paper sculptures that have working lights in them. FOR IN-LIBRARY USE.
- Origami Circuits – Combine simple electronics with the centuries-old Japanese papercraft art of Origami. By adding LEDs and self-sticking motors we’re able to create 3D papercraft projects that move, light up, and blink! This is a great way to teach art, design, engineering, and basic electronics. FOR IN-LIBRARY USE.
- Sewing Circuits – Re-imagine wires and what the purpose of sewing can be with this fantastic DIY kit! Using clever conductive thread, your sewn connections for projects can now double as circuit pathways! Combined with included Crazy Circuits™ components and powered by small coin cell batteries, your sewn projects can now light up is flashy or functional ways. Sewing circuit kits are a great way to teach engineering, motors, circuitry, electricity and ART all at once or take your DIY/hobbyist projects to the next level! FOR IN-LIBRARY USE.
- The Gobox Pro is the perfect product to engage children ages 6+ in learning about architecture, engineering and electricity. Kids can build and electrify their very own zoo. This kit comes with connectors, cardboard shapes, LED lighting components, and more (even the animals)! Students can use 3Dux cardboard forms along with their own cardboard to build, decorate and electrify their creations. FOR IN-LIBRARY USE.
- Squishy Circuits uses conductive dough to build electronic sculptures that light up, move, and make sounds. Includes battery packs, LED lights, hobby motors, and buzzers to explore electricity in a fun, hands-on way.

Our maker station is supplied with high-tech and low-tech tools, art supplies, craft supplies, and other items. The maker station is for children ages 6 and up, teens, and adults to explore, design, and create all kinds of masterpieces. Contents:

Cutting Machines
The Library has 2 cutting machines available for our patrons to use. You can design and create an extensive amount of different projects, including one-of-a-kind greeting cards, gift tags, scrapbooking sheets, vinyl stickers, and so much more. Cricut Maker Machine – With its advanced suite of tools, you can make virtually any project on your wish list, from 3D art to home decor, jewelry, iron-on, vinyl, paper projects, and so much more.

Silhouette Portrait 3 – Precision DIY cutting. The Portrait is a compact machine that allows you to create DIY projects with incredible precision. From cutting labels, to creating custom stickers, the Silhouette Portrait is a tool that every maker should have.
